The new album by Thi'sl called "Beautiful Monster" is up on iTunes for preview. This is gonna be a major banger this summer. Check it out and plan on buying it when it comes out so we can catapult him to the top of the charts. This will be a huge witness for the world as it makes a spash in the secular music scene. When "Chronicles of an X-Hustler" came out, it was at the top of the charts for at least a week or two. This new album should do even better. Thi'sl, an artist from St. Louis, seems to be making an impact in the secular hip hop scene with his new video for "I Hate You (Crack)". The song is about the price he and others have paid by either selling or using crack cocaine. I would go a step further and say that it is about the price we all pay for giving our time and money to sin in general. I myself have things in my life that have taken away precious time and memories that I can never get back. Whether it's drugs, alcohol, women, pornography, or even just being too prideful and ruining relationships: Sin breaks us down and tears families apart. Watch the video and think about what you've given into that has been a vice or stumbling block in your life. Then give God a shout if He has brought you out of it! He is our Redeemer!

I'll never forget the first time I heard the song. But the video did something even deeper. Filmed by Space Cherry Films and directed by eshon burgundy, the emotion felt by the images of Thi'sl walking through his past and seeing the effects of everything he has done is enough to bring tears to your eyes. The secular hip hop scene is giving the video praise because of the truth about crack cocaine that is communicated. It has been featured on a number of major hip hop websites and blogs.
Let's pray that this video softens the hearts of any listeners/viewers that are not saved because the song has a very clear message of repentance for what he has done. In fact, on the third verse he very plainly breaks it down regarding judgement by God for our actions. I believe this video is simply a seed and the Lord will use it to promote Himself in the secular hip hop arena through Thi'sl's new album, "Beautiful Monster" due out on July 27th.
